Who is B.C. Palmer?

British Columbia Palmer (B.C. Palmer) is Bartlet Joshua Palmer's long lost brother.  D.D. Palmer, born in Ontario, Canada split the two brothers apart, sending one to Canada while leaving the other in the U.S.  D.D.'s intended to have the two brothers carry out his work in chiropractic, establishing it in both countries as THE vitalistic health care choice of the public.  Now, whether it was D.D. almost getting run over by B.J. or the lack of communication between Davenport, Iowa and Ontario - B.C. was forgotten rather quickly, but B.C. never forgot his mission to expose chiropractic philosophy to Canada.  Unfortunately, up until now, B.C.'s namesake (British Columbia) has shifted towards a more medical/mechanistic view on chiropractic.  I think B.C. was frozen somewhere on Whistler (just under the peak chair) and with the extremely warm and dry weather during the summer of 2003, B.C. thawed out, ran to a chiropractor to get adjusted and was mortified!  He saw many chiropractors who were mixing the practice of medicine with chiropractic, he saw chiropractors struggling to survive, he saw jealousy amongst peers, he saw the public looking for something other than the typical Md experience.  B.C. thought, "how could things not have evolved with the times?"  "How can a vitalistic profession be so mechanistic?"  But the thing that stunned B.C. the most was how vitalistic/principled chiropractors were not represented and supported in British Columbia (he was happy to see C.A.C. in Ontario!).  This is why B.C. decided to start ACBC - to give vitalistic/principled chiropracTORS a voice in British Columbia!
